The American
Saddle Horse Breeders Futurity of Texas

Membership Dues: $20.00
The Three Divisions
The American Saddle Horse Breeders Futurity of Texas will be
shown each year in three divisions: Weanlings, Yearlings, and
Two-Year-Olds.
What Foals Are Eligible
All foals shown must be the produce of stallions and mares who
have been previously nominated in the american Saddle Horses
Breeders Futurity of Texas.
How to Nominate the Sire
To nominate a stallion in the futurity it is necessary: (1) that
the stallion be registered in the American Saddlebred Horse Association,
and (2) that a fee of $75.00 be paid to the Futurity on or before
June 1, of the year the foal is nominated.
How to Nominated the Dam
To nominated a mare in the futurity it is necessary: (1) that
the mare be registered in the American Saddlebred Horse Association,
and (2) that a fee of $25.00 be paid to the Futurity on or before
June 1, of the year in which the foal is born.
How to Make a Weanling Eligible
In order to make a foal eligible to show in the Weanling Division
of the Futurity, the following conditions must be complied with:
(1) the sire and dam must be nominated in the Futurity the year
in which the foal is born, (2) the foal must be registered before
it can be shown and to be eligible to show as a yearlng and/or
a two-year-old, it must have been registered not later than December
31, of the year foaled, (3) the foal must be blood-typed, and
(4) $35.00 must be paid to the Futurity on or before September
1, of the year the foal is born. The entries in this division
shall be shown In-Hand.
How to Keep the Yearling Eligible
In order to make a colt, filly, or gelding eligible to show in
the Yearling division of the Futurity, the following conditions
must be complied with: (1) the colt, filly, or gelding must have
been nominated in the Weanling Division of this Futurity and
all conditions and requirements of that Division must have been
fulfilled and (2) $20.00 must be paid to the Futurity on or before
June 1, and $30.00 on or before September 1, of the year following
the birth of the foal. The entries in this division shall be
shown In-Hand.
How to Keep the Two-Year-Old Eligible
In order to make a colt, filly, or gelding eligible to show in
the Two-Year-Old Division of the Futurity, the following conditions
must be complied with: (1) the colt, filly, or gelding must have
been nominated in the Weanling and Yearling Divisions of this
Futurity and all conditions and requirements of those divisions
must have been fulfilled and (2) $20.00 must be paid to the futurity
on or before June 1, and $30.00 on or before September 1, of
the year the entry becomes a two-year-old (per each class that
they show in). The entries in this Division can be nominated
three ways, but only shown twice: In-Hand and Fine Harness or
Under Saddle.
Classes
Weanlings: (1) Colts--10 Places, 5 Moneys, (2) Fillies--10 Places,
5 Moneys, and (3) Championship--10 Places, Money to Nominator
of sire and Dam of Champion and Reserve Champion.
Yearlings: (1) Colts--10 Places, 5 Moneys, (2) Fillies--10 Places,
5 Moneys, and (3) Championship--10 Places.
Two-Year-Olds: (1) Two-Year-Old In-Hand--10 Places, 5 Moneys,
(2) Two-Year-Old Fine Harness--10 Places, 5 Moneys, and (3) Two-Year-Old
Under Saddle--10 Places, 5 Moneys.
How The Prizes are Divided
For the Two-Year-Old Division, the Division Prize Fund will be
divided three ways between the Two-Year-Old In-Hand Class, the
Two-Year-Old Fine Harness Class, and the Two-Year-Old Under Saddle
Class. The winner will receive 40% of the Prize Fund of the respective
Two-Year-Old Class, second 25%, third 15%, fourth 12-1/2%, and
fifth 7-1/2%.
For the Yearling division, the winner will receive 40% of the
Prize Fund of the Yearling Division, second 25%, third 15%, fourth
12-1/2%, and fifth 7-1/2%.
For the Weanling Division, the Division Prize Fund will be divided
equally between the Weanling Filly Class and the Weanling Colt
Class. The winner will receive 40% of the Prize Fund of the respective
Weanling Class, second 25%, third 15%, fourth 12-1/2%, and fifth
7-1/2%.
The nominator of the dam of the winning foal in the Weanling
Division will receive $75.00 and the nominator of the dam of
the second foal in the Weanling division will receive $50.00.
The nominator of the sire of the winning foal of the Weanling
Division will receive $75.00 and the nominator of the sire of
the second foal in the Weanling Division will receive $50.00.
The value of the Prize Fund of the Futurity each year shall be
the total amount of money paid in fees, miscellaneous funds,
and added donations, less administrative cost. Each year the
specific awards to the nominators of the sires and dams will
be deducted before the division of the Prize Fund among the three
regular divisions of the Futurity.
The administrative cost will be deducted from general receipts.
The Prize Fund shall be divided equally between the Weanling,
Yearling, and Two-Year-Old Divisions. The Weanling Division Fund
will be divided equally between the Weanling Filly Class and
the Weanling Colt Class. The Two-Year-Old Division Fund will
be divided equally between the Two-Year-Old In-Hand Class, the
Two-Year-Old Fine Harness Class, and the Two-Year-Old Under Saddle
Class.
How Paid
All prize money shall be paid within ten days after the show.
Where to Pay Fees
All payments to the Futurity must be made to the office of the
American Saddle Horse Breeders Futurity of Texas, on or before
the dates hereiin specified.
Liability
No entry is liable for more than the amount paid in but there
will be no return of a payment. The right is reserved to reject
any entry, and to debar any entry from competition for failure
to comply with the conditions of the Futurity.
