2007 STATE FAIR OF TEXAS UPHA HORSE SHOW SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION Benefitting Chapter 6/7 for the Promotion of the Horse Show Industry The United Professional Horsemen's Association (UPHA) was founded in 1968 for the purpose of improving the horse show industry and defining professionalism within the industry. Today UPHA is comprised of 18 regional chapters in all 50 states and Canada. UPHA sponsors the UPHA Classics which were designed to stimulate interest in young horses and to provide owners and trainers with an opportunity to receive substantial prize money. Another program sponsored by UPHA is The UPHA Challenge Cup for the young rider to encourage show ring partcipation.
