ABOUT
NTASHA
Welcome
to the official website for NTASHA (North Texas American Saddlebred
Horse Association). NTASHA was established on February 28, 1994
and the purpose of the club is:
- To
promote the American Saddlebred horse in the North Texas area;
- To
provide opportunities for education in the breeding, caretaking,
use, handling, and developent of American Saddlebred horses;
- To
encourage good sportsmanship and proper conduct among horsemen
and horsewomen and foster good fellowship between North Texas
area American Saddlebred farms and stables; and
- To
establish a North Texas Horse Show Circuit and provide American
Saddlebred horse trainers, owners, and enthusiasts with convenient
and economical local activities and competitive events.
NTASHA
is a non-profit corporation and shall have all of the power,
duties, authorizations, and responsibilities as provided in the
Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act.
NTASHA
is also a Charter Club with the American Saddlebred Horse Association.
Officers
The
Officers of NTASHA are President, Vice President, Secretary,
and Treasurer. The Officers must be members of the Board of Directors
and active members of the ASHA (American Saddlebred Horse Association).
They shall be elected at the annual meeting of members in even-numbered
years. Each Officer shall hold office for a period of two years
from the date of his/her election and until his/her successor
shall be duly elected and qualified.

- The
President shall be the principal executive officer of NTASHA
and shall in general supervise and direct the affairs of the
Association. He shall preside at all meetings of the membership
and of the Board of Directors.
- Vice
President--Jane Monsson
- The
Vice President shall have such powers and perform such duties
and services as shall be prescribed or delegated to him by the
President or the Board of Directors. In the absence of the President,
the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President.
- Treasurer--Sandee
Razminas
- The
Treasurer shall have charge and custody of and be responsible
for all funds and securities of NTASHA, receive and give receipts
for property and moneys given to NTASHA and for moneys due and
payable to NTASHA from any source whatsoever, and deposit all
such moneys in the name of NTASHA in such banks or other depositories
as shall be selected and approved by the Board of Directors.

Cowan
- The
Secretary shall keep and distribute the minutes of the meetings
of the members and of the Board of Directors, ensure that all
notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of these
Bylaws, as required by law, be custodian of NTASHA records and
of the seal of NTASHA, and keep a register of the post office
address of each member which shall be furnished to the Secretary
by such member.
Directors
The
Board of Directors shall consist of the four duly elected Offices
of NTASHA, and five representatives from the North Texas area
(referred to as Non-Officer Directors), and shall exercise all
of the powers of the NTASHA subject only to the restrictions
imposed by law, by the Association's Articles of Incorporation,
as amended, or by these Bylaws. Each member of the Board of Directors
must be a member in good standing of NTASHA and an active member
of the ASHA. Directors shall be elected to serve a term of two
years and until their respective successors are elected and have
accepted their election. Five Non-Officer Directors shall be
elected at annual meetings of the members occurring in the odd-numbered
years.
